Vascular Surgery

Vascular Surgery involves surgery on blood vessels throughout the body, except those within the heart and brain. Vascular surgical procedures are often performed to correct the many complications of atherosclerosis – a disease in which fatty plaques develop on the inner walls of the arteries, causing hardening of the arteries and obstruction of blood flow.

Some of the most common procedures include:

  • Aneurysm Repair
  • Arterial reconstructive surgery of the legs and arms
  • Intraoperative Arteriograms
  • Arterio-venous shunt for dialysis
  • Thoracic
  • Balloon dilation
  • Carotid artery surgery to help prevent strokes
  • Vein Surgery
